“Evolving into the greatest skills shortage of our time, particularly at a senior and executive level, this broken system is forcing businesses to look only within our own dwindling talent pool.”

Our Director Laura Grierson’s opinion piece in The West Australian, highlights the Australian migration system’s contribution to the skills shortage, due to the inability to attract high-level international talent.

The global shift towards decarbonisation presents the opportunity for Western Australia to become a significant critical mineral supplier and a global leader in the development of next-generation technologies. To support this, there is a greater necessity for a change in the system’s shape and strategic direction, to attract the creative class to the state and improve the talent pool as a whole.
